About the Acne PSP Campaign

How will the information be used?

The final stage of the process is a workshop in which the short list of important questions as voted for by you will be reduced to a TOP TEN.  We’ll invite about 40 people to that including teenagers and adults with acne as well as treatment providers and representatives of partner organisations.

The ‘acne top 10’ will be publicised widely to make sure that medical scientists and those who fund their work understand what really matters to people with acne and the wide range of professionals who provide treatment.    You’ll be able to see the top ten on this web site.

The other questions that don’t make the top ten aren’t forgotten.  They are all entered into a large open access database run by the NHS.  You can find it at http://www.library.nhs.uk/duets/

In future, scientists who are seeking public funding for their work will have to show that the project they wish to carry out answers a question that is important to patients and health professionals.   In other words, does it appear in the top ten questions generated by the Acne PSP?
