Acne Academy

The Acne Academy has been developed by a team of leading UK medical professionals – including dermatologists, a GP with a special interest in dermatology, dermatology specialist nurses and pharmacists, who have all volunteered their time to write and produce this online patient resource.  The Acne Academy website provides access to balanced, practical information that attempts to cover everything about acne, including information about treatments you may be prescribed and what you can do to get help. Development of the website has been funded by unrestricted educational grants from Clinique, Dermal Laboratories Limited, Galderma, P&G Beauty & Grooming, Stiefel and Yin Yang.  These companies have had no influence over the content of this website except for providing a review for medical accuracy and overall compliance with the requirements of the ABPI Code of Practice.

British Skin Foundation

The British Skin Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the only UK charity dedicated to research into skin diseases.  To date, the Foundation has supported more than 260 research projects and awarded more than £8 million in funding across all skin diseases including eczema, psoriasis, acne and many more.  Every penny raised goes into research.

Acne and Rosacea Society of Canada

The Acne and Rosacea Society of Canada is a new, national, not for profit organization composed of Canadian medical professionals - dermatologists, family physicians, pharmacists and nurses - as well as patients, educators and communications specialists.

  • Our mission is to improve the lives of Canadians with acne and rosacea by raising awareness and providing independent, reputable information on these disorders.
  • We believe knowledge will open the doors to action and improvement.

The Society will launch activities in the coming months with its Acne Action campaign.
